The Awty ELC is proud to be joining forces with Target Hunger to combat food insecurity in Houston. Please consider joining us to raise funds to assist children, families, and seniors in need. Your support means so much to those struggling to put the next meal on their table.

Target Hunger is one of Houston’s largest non-profit organizations providing direct food assistance to food insecure children, families, and seniors at risk of going hungry every day.

Target Hunger distributes immediate food aid through several channels: food pantries located in community centers and churches; a mobile food pantry; emergency packs for people without access to kitchens; home delivery for seniors, people with disabilities, and families with inadequate transportation; summer food programs for children on break from schools that offer two meals a day during the school year; educational food fairs open to anyone needing food assistance; a growing community partner program; and two community gardens producing vegetables for distribution while offering educational programming and volunteer opportunities.
